Former Gleeds senior director, John Lucas, has joined construction consultancy EDGE PS as its London office lead.
Lucas, who announced the move on social media this week, is understood to have been with Gleeds since 2002, working his way from associate to partner to directorship position.
He has worked in the industry for close to 40 years.
EDGE has offices in Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Birmingham and London.
Writing online, Lucas said: “I am excited to be joining EDGE as London office lead, working with the London and wider UK teams.
“EDGE is an exciting and dynamic consultancy that is dedicated to its people, partners and clients that brings expertise in the core disciplines of Cost Management, Project Management, Building Surveying and Health and Safety advice.
“The approach to social value, which is important to me, is not limited to project delivery, with the team continually involved in a variety of local and national initiatives to leave a lasting impact wherever possible.
“I am really looking forward to working with new, existing clients and consultants to contribute to the strategic direction and growth.”
