Global consultancy Egis swoops on UK advisory firm

Global construction consultancy Egis has announced the strategic acquisition of its UK counterpart Thomas & Adamson for an undisclosed sum.

Egis said the deal will significantly enhance its advisory services for clients in the UK, as the firm seeks to strengthen its presence here through expansion. 

Founded in 1935, Edinburgh-headquartered Thomas & Adamson has a dedicated team of more than 100 staff across the city as well as Glasgow, London, and the Middle East. 

The firm delivers cost and project management, building surveying, and principal designer services across all major sectors in the built environment, including commercial, education, sports, and hotels. 

Egis’ global advisory team will work with Thomas & Adamson to accelerate the growth of its advisory services in the UK and internationally, it said.  

Egis has operations in 100 countries and a headcount of 19,500 employees.

“Our combined expertise will strengthen our UK service offering and deliver on our mission to provide comprehensive, creative, and trusted advisory services to our clients.”
