Former BAM director joins Tilbury Douglas

Tilbury Douglas has announced a change in leadership in its building division.

Phil Shaw has been promoted from regional director – North West to managing director – Building North. 

He replaces John Gittins who moves into a central role, providing support and assistance in the leadership and development of the wider business. 

Shaw joined Tilbury Douglas at the start of his career as an engineer more than 25 years ago.  

In 2022, he was awarded the Constructing Excellence Outstanding Achievement Award. 

Former BAM construction director, Martin Horne has been appointed regional director – North West.   

Horne has more than 35 years of construction experience, leading businesses and delivering major projects, also previously working as technical director (structures) at BAM.  

Craig Tatton, chief operating officer at Tilbury Douglas, said: “I would like to congratulate Phil and John on their new roles and welcome Martin to the business. I look forward to our continued success in the North West and the North as we further grow our presence nationwide in the future.”
