Turner & Townsend on London Luton Airport framework

editor

Turner & Townsend (T&T) has been appointed as a main supplier to London Luton Airport’s (LLA) project management services framework.

T&T will provide project management, cost consultancy, safety assurance, site supervision and schedule management services, as part of a three-year agreement.

It follows London Luton Airport receiving approval for a revised extension following a public inquiry.

The appointment also builds on T&T’s existing work with the airport including a solar farm, EV strategy, terminal extension, and runway resurfacing.

T&T will support delivery of the airport’s sustainable growth strategy, net-zero targets and efficient upgrade and operation of its facilities.

Based in Bedfordshire, LLA is the fifth largest airport in the UK.

A T&T spokesperson said: “Our three-year appointment on this framework significantly strengthens our relationship with London Luton Airport and draws on the depth of experience we have in the aviation sector having worked with many of the UK airport companies over many years.

“We are committed to supporting LLA on its sustainable growth journey whilst meeting its ambitious net-zero targets.”

Alejo Perez Monsalvo, capex director at London Luton airport, added: “This framework provides further opportunity to collaborate with Turner & Townsend across an ambitious pipeline of exciting projects that will ensure London Luton Airport continues to operate safely and efficiently, as we continue to invest in our plans for responsible and sustainable growth.”
