Russell Smith, owner of the Hampshire building company, jumped at the partnership having grown up supporting Pompey.

Telfair offers refurbishment and alteration works to existing properties, as well as full new build construction projects.

It also works within the public sector, providing retrofit and insulation services to local authorities implementing building and sustainability standards.

Smith said he and Telfair co-founder Danny were at Fratton Park most weekends in their youth, so “didn’t need to think twice” about the chance to partner with the League One club.

“Both myself and co-founder Danny grew up supporting Pompey,” said Smith, owner of Telfair.

“I was in the Fratton End most weeks from the age of nine and absolutely loved the buzz just walking into the stadium.

“So, when the opportunity came to partner up with Portsmouth Football Club, we didn’t need to think twice.

“We are absolutely loving being part of it this season and hope to carry on for quite a few more years to come.”

Pompey director of sales, Mark Judges, added: “From our first meeting with Telfair Construction, it was clear the passion everyone within the company has for Pompey.

“We are thrilled to welcome them as a new partner for this season and look forward to helping them achieve their goals away from Fratton Park.”
