The club represents the same county in Ireland in which Group founder and boss Pat Gallagher was born and raised.

“The GAA holds a special place in rural Ireland, bringing communities together like no other,” the company wrote on social media.

Adding: “That’s why we are enthusiastic about joining forces and driving the Leitrim team forward.”

Pat Gallagher was born in Ballinamore, County Leitrim, Ireland, in 1949.

In 1966, his parents moved the family to Aylesford in Kent looking for work.

Gallagher bought his first JCB digger in 1973 using a £2,200 loan and the business was born.

Shortly after, his wife Mary joined him to manage the accounts.

The company has now been in business more than 50 years.

“We are delighted to announce that Gallagher Group has signed a three-year sponsorship deal with the esteemed Leitrim GAA County Senior Football team,” the company wrote on social media.

“As a proud Leitrim native, Pat Gallagher is excited for the future and fully supports the team in their journey ahead.

“We extend our best wishes to Andy, the players, and the entire backroom staff for the upcoming season.

“With their dedication and talent, we are confident that they will continue to build on the progress achieved in recent years.”
