RSK eyes £1.2bn turnover – amid acquisition spree

RSK Group has again added to its growing portfolio of businesses with the acquisition of water, construction and engineering specialist ABM.

It follows the recent acquisition of civil engineering and bulk earthworks contractor, RJT Excavations, and after that radiation protection consultancy, Aurora Health Physics Services Ltd (Aurora). 

Since January, Cheshire-based RSK is understood to have executed in the region of 27 mergers and acquisitions (M&A) with companies from a range of different sectors, oftentimes overseeing several in quick succession in a matter of weeks.  

ABM has been running more than 20 years and has a team of 36 in offices in Barcelona and Girona.   

It provides services to both public and private sector clients mainly in Catalonia and the rest of Spain.

ABM managing director, Joan Macarro Ortega, will continue to lead the business.

RSK now comprises more than 200 companies, employing 12,000 people.  

The Group’s annual turnover at the end of FY2023 is expected to be more than £1.2 billion.
