Multi-billion-dollar engineering services giant SNC-Lavalin Group has rebranded as AtkinsRéalis.
It means the Canadian multinational and its UK subsidiaries Atkins (engineering) and Faithful+Gould (management) will all trade under the new name.
Other brands such as SNC-Lavalin, DTS and Atkins Acuity will also now trade under AtkinsRéalis.
Its new brand and associated intellectual property will henceforth be used on all communications materials.
And it will begin trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange under TSX:ATRL.
However, SNC-Lavalin Group will not change its legal name until the company obtains shareholder approval, as required by law.
The move is part of an ongoing company repositioning, as it looks to more clearly define its future strategy.
Headquartered in Montréal, Canada, AtkinsRéalis comprises 36,000 employees in engineering, procurement and construction services across various industries, including mining and metallurgy, oil and gas, environmental and water, infrastructure, and clean energy.
“In recent years, we have deliberately repositioned the company,” said Ian L. Edwards, president and CEO of AtkinsRéalis. “We exited those parts of the business that were not profitable or aligned with our strategy; corrected underlying issues affecting our performance; doubled down on high-growth global markets; embraced digital transformation; and most importantly, redefined our purpose and strengthened our culture.”
Adding: “We have reached an inflection point so now is the right time to rebrand to AtkinsRéalis and reflect the exciting future ahead of us. AtkinsRéalis is a new name for a new transformed company.”
