Folkestone-based Reina has been a supply chain partner to Jenner for more than 20 years.

During that time, it has delivered plumbing and heating solutions to many of Jenner’s projects.

The merger will help both firms exploit significant industry changes to regulation and compliance, said Jenner.

This includes improving their sustainability offering, and to decarbonise new and existing housing stock.

Reina will continue to operate as a separate entity run by its own board of directors, with a steer from Jenner’s senior management.

The total valuation of the deal was not published.

Accounts for Jenner, to 31 March 2022, show turnover of £86.4 million, compared to £69.9 million in 2021.

“With construction moving at pace towards a more sustainable future, and with rigorous industry standards being implemented, we believe a stronger alliance with Reina will be fundamental in vastly improving our ability to decarbonise new and existing housing stock. This is certainly a significant leap forward for Jenner and a benefit we can bring to our clients,” said Jenner managing director, Martin Sandall.

Reina MD, Ricky Reina, added: “The future feels bright. Being aligned to the Jenner brand, which is so strong and respected as one of Kent’s leading contractors, I believe will reap huge benefits for us all at Reina.”
