Integrum is an electrical engineering design and build contractor specialising in high voltage (HV) distribution projects and maintenance.

The Stockport firm will integrate into the OCU Energy Services division and will help OCU expand its presence in the non-regulated energy market and rail sector.

Full scope

OCU plans on using the expertise from Integrum to support the delivery of an electrification programme to enhance the mainline network in the UK.

With its experience in decarbonisation, Integrum will aid OCU in infrastructure opportunities to help the UK reach its net-zero goals.

Past acquisitions

In April, OCU acquired water-based M&E and civils contractor Northavon Group and its companies: Northavon Water ServicesHydrovein, and Multivein

Other firms OCU has bought include:

  • Modus, utility specialist.
  • InICT, fibre optic specialist.
  • Opals, multi-utilities hub.
  • Andrews Associates, power systems design and engineering service.
  • FKS, a telecommunications installation company.

On the most recent acquisition, Michael Hughes, CEO of OCU Group, said: “Acquiring Integrum is a great move for OCU Group, especially as the UK increases its infrastructure spend in the renewable space.

“As we build our portfolio within this space, we’re supporting the UK’s goal of hitting net zero by 2050 and, in turn, providing a greener solution for our clients.”
