Utilities and energy company OCU Group has moved to acquire M&E and civils contractor Northavon Group.
The deal marks OCU’s sixth and largest acquisition in just over 12 months.
It recently bought London utility specialist, Modus, fibre optic specialist, InICT, multi-utilities hub, Opals, power systems design and engineering service, Andrews Associates, in Surrey, and FKS, a telecom installation outfit in Wigan.
The Northavon Group of companies include Northavon Water Services, Hydrovein, and Multivein, along with their respective subsidiaries.
Northavon mainly operates in the water sector, providing value-add services including mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and civils design, construction and installation of clean and wastewater treatment facilities and sewage pumping stations, and maintenance services.
It also has divisions for highways and groundworks.
“The acquisition will support OCU’s growth across the water and wastewater sector as the Group continues to expand in water and energy-related opportunities. The deal will also give OCU a stronger regional presence across the South West”, said OCU.
Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory clearance and is expected in May.
