Ian Phillips takes up the role following the retirement of Frank Reid after 43 years of service.

Phillips’ promotion comes six years after he joined Robertson as operations director.

He said: “I’m taking on this role at an exciting time for our sector when we are working with our customers to deliver quality projects, while helping them achieve their own net zero targets through decarbonisation and new build programmes.

“The built environment makes a significant contribution to the regional economy, and we will continue to ensure that we are at the fore of innovation, digital technology, and modern methods of construction.”

Robertson has also announced the appointment of Ricky Brown as operations director, Phillips’ former role at the business.

Brown previously led large scale projects for Morgan Sindall and Galliford Try.

Robertson Group CEO, Elliot Robertson, said: “With a wealth of experience, Ian’s passion and expertise will undoubtedly ensure the ongoing success of our Northern business.

“I extend a warm welcome to Ricky as he joins Team Robertson, bringing with him great expertise of the industry and passion.”
