The Clancy Group has appointed a new operations director for its civil engineering team.
Simon Hyams joins the company after a short stint as managing director for contracting at John F Hunt Regeneration, which he joined in December last year.
Prior to that he was construction director and later managing director, major civils projects, at Buckingham Group.
He also worked at Galliford Try for nearly 24 years in various operations roles and held senior positions at Energy Technologies Institute.
Reporting to the executive team, Hyams will work alongside Clancy’s work-winning and operations team, supporting its plans to develop its civil engineering and major infrastructure division.
Clancy’s civil engineering team currently delivers major programmes of work for clients such as HS2 Limited and Thames Water.
Posting on social media, Ronan Clancy, executive director at Clancy, said: “Welcome Simon Hyams. Great to have you on board. A fantastic addition to our growing civil engineering business.”
