Construction consultancy appoints three new directors

Construction consultancy Turner & Townsend (T&T) has appointed three new directors to its energy and natural resources team.

Professor Faye Banks has been appointed director of transmission and distribution in the UK.   

She previously worked for Siemens Digital Grid and the National Grid, covering large capital projects and operations and she has 28 years’ experience in electrical engineering. 

Andrew Baker joins as Europe lead for energy and natural resources, taking responsibility for low-carbon and conventional energy, transmission and mining work.   

He recently held the position of executive vice president for DORIS Group’s renewable business line, leading delivery of sustainable energy projects globally.  

Mark Savage has been appointed global sector lead for nuclear and head of programme services, responsible for the quality and innovation of technical services across the energy and natural resources market.   

Savage brings more than 25 years’ experience across energy and infrastructure programmes, including two decades at T&T.  

“We welcome Faye and Andrew to our business,” said David Whysall, global managing director of energy and natural resources.  

“Alongside Mark’s contribution, these appointments add extensive strength and depth to our energy and natural resources offer. 

“Their experience will help us collaborate with industry as the scale and pace of commitments to energy transition accelerate in the coming years.”
