Balfour Beatty has announced a reshuffle among its senior board of directors.
Anne Drinkwater will succeed Dr. Stephen Billingham as senior independent non-executive director when he steps down from the board after the 2024 Annual General Meeting, on 9 May.
Drinkwater, a non-executive director at the group since December 2018 and former BP Canada CEO, will continue as chairperson of the Remuneration Committee and as a member of the Safety and Sustainability Committee.
She is also currently a non-executive director at petroleum refining company Equinor, and has held similar roles at Aker Solutions, the engineering company, and oil and gas exploration company Tullow Oil.
Dr. Billingham has been a senior independent non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee at Balfour since June 2015.
He is also a former chairman of Anglian Water Services.
