Stable revenue and profits for Barnes Construction

Barnes Construction has delivered stable revenue and profits in its latest group accounts.

Turnover for the year ended 30 September 2023 was £100.7 million, slightly up from £100.4 million in the prior period.   

Gross profit for the Ipswich-headquartered company was reported at £9.7 million (FY2022: £8.3 million).   

While operating profit for the group was reported at £2.8 million, compared to £2 million in the previous year.   

Pre-tax profit in the year to 30 September 2023 for Barnes was £3.1 million (FY2022: £2.1 million).  

While profit for the year for the group was £2.6 million (FY2022: £2 million). 

Net assets were valued at £14.2 million, up from £12.6 million in the prior year.  

During the financial period the company paid dividends of more than £1 million, down from £1.8 million in FY2022.
