He previously held senior positions at McCarthy Stone, Linden Homes and SEGRO.

His most recent role was chief investment officer (CIO) at Homes England.

Bridges also served as a board member at Wates Construction, Keepmoat and Taylor Wimpey.

“Kier Property is looking forward to seeing the impact David will once again have at Kier during this exciting and thriving time,” the group said.

Adding: “He will play an integral role in leading its talented residential regeneration team and help drive Kier Property’s growth strategies through new business and managing their existing joint ventures in the public and private sectors.”

Kier Property has a £1.5 billion pipeline, which includes 4,500 residential units (including 1,000 affordable).
