The company has been appointed main contractor for the construction of One Exchange Square, a 447,000 sq ft office building at Broadgate Campus.

Multiplex was hired by property investment manager, LaSalle, acting on behalf of Malaysian investor Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB).

M3 Consulting are acting as development manager for the project.

Designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, the 13-story scheme will have 430,000 sq ft of workspace and 17,000 sq ft of retail fronting Bishopsgate and the park at Exchange Square, as well as landscaped terraces on every floor.

By retaining 90 per cent of the existing structure, the building will have 50 per cent lower embodied carbon than a typical new build, said LaSalle.

The scheme is targeting a BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating, NABERS 5* and Well Platinum.

JLL and Cushman & Wakefield are advising on the project.

One Exchange Square is scheduled for completion in Q1 2026.

“We are incredibly proud to have been selected by LaSalle and PNB to transform this key building in the Broadgate campus and the City of London,” said Callum Tuckett, managing director at Multiplex.

“We look forward to working with our development partners and all the professional teams to deliver a contemporary and highly sustainable building that will have a positive impact not just on its occupiers but on the surrounding areas of Bishopsgate and Exchange Square.”
