Former BMW CFO joins Henry Boot board

Henry Boot has announced the appointment of a new non-executive director to its board.

Talita Ferreira (pictured) joins the contractor’s Audit and Risk Committee, Nomination Committee, Remuneration Committee and Responsible Business Committee.  

She will officially take over from Joanne Lake as chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee from 1 September. 

Chartered accountant Ferreira has extensive finance, risk and governance experience, and is currently a non-executive director and chairperson of the Audit Committee of FCE Bank, as well as CEO and founder of management consultancy Authentic Change Solutions Limited. 

Previously, she was the chief financial officer (CFO) of BMW UK and BMW Automotive Ireland, CFO of BMW Financial Services (UK and Ireland) and held roles with Investec Bank and KPMG South Africa. 

Henry Boot chairman, Peter Mawson, said: “Following a thorough selection process, we are delighted to welcome Talita to the board. Her depth of leadership expertise, understanding of the audit and risk environment, and her passion for people and business culture will be particularly invaluable.” 

Adding: “I am also pleased that we have made important progress against our diversity targets and will look to make further improvements as part of our ongoing board succession programme.”
