Warehousing and distribution specialist PRL Logistics hired the firm for the work on the 240,000 sq ft development by Exeter Ireland at Aerodrome Business Park in Baldonell.

It follows completion of fit-out works for IKEA at Greenogue, also in Dublin.

The scope of works includes racking, sprinklers, a state-of-the-art PV system, lighting, and M&E services, plus associated civil engineering and enabling works.

The fit-out of a three-story office space and provision of new welfare areas is also part of the contract.

Works are expected to start on site in January 2024, with completion expected in early May.

“So soon after the successful conclusion to the fit-out works undertaken for IKEA at Greenogue in Dublin we are absolutely delighted to today confirm the award of our second fit-out contract to date and in quick succession in Ireland,” said Rory McGillycuddy, country director Glencar Ireland.

“As specialists in the Industrial and Logistics market we are bringing the considerable knowledge and expertise we have gained over the past seven years in the UK to Ireland where there is a strong demand for high quality construction and fit-out projects.”

Richard Jones from PRL Logistics added: “Having seen the excellent work that Glencar recently completed for IKEA in addition to their exceptional credentials generally within the I&L space we had no hesitation in appointing them to undertake this package of important fit-out works on this impressive new unit in Baldonell.”
