A refurbishment and reconfiguration of Tall Trees saw new office accommodation provided, with meeting rooms, breakout areas, and staff amenity/rest facilities for the Trust’s mental health crisis teams.

The Glade is a refurbishment and new build extension to provide a mental healthcare outpatient facility with consultation rooms, group activity areas, reception, a waiting area and staff facilities, as well as a new fenced garden for service users.

The handover also marks the first anniversary of Sherwood Oaks Hospital, a 5,000 sqm refurbishment project with new build extensions, which generated £6.5 million’ of social value investment back into the community, with particular emphasis on skills and opportunities.

Along with work placements and employment for local people, 64 per cent of the supply chain was sourced locally.

Simon Butler, regional building managing director – Midlands at Tilbury Douglas, said: “It is great to see the completion of our projects at Nottinghamshire Healthcare facilities, which will result in significant improvements in the care for its patients.”
