editor

Tenders are now being accepted for a city house-building framework worth £1 billion.

The City of Wolverhampton Council (CWC) is seeking contractors to deliver new homes and regeneration projects across a four-year development programme running from 1 June 2024 to 31 May 2028.

The local authority is procuring for design, pre-construction, construction and delivery services, as well as some land remediation works, for new houses, apartments and bungalows for rent, sale and shared ownership markets (and in some cases mixed tenure).

The framework agreement has the potential to be used by other local authorities, arms-length management organisations and registered providers, said CWC.

The four-year framework will comprise three lots:

  • Lot 1 – Tasks on small infill sites of up to three dwellings;
  • Lot 2 – Tasks on infill sites from four up to 20 dwellings;
  • Lot 3 – Tasks on infill sites of over 21 dwellings.

The deadline for submissions is midday (12pm) on 21 February 2024.
