editor

NRI Civils Limited has filed for administration.

Bibby Financial Services filed an application with the Companies Court last week on behalf of the Corby groundworks and civil engineering contractor, it is understood.

Consultants from PBC Business Recovery and Insolvency are understood to have taken control of the business.

London law firm Harrison Clark Rickerbys (HCR) appear to be listed as counsel to the applicant.

Founded in 2012, the company offers infrastructure and building services on domestic and commercial projects ranging from £250,000 to £20 million across Northants to Cambridgeshire to Nottinghamshire to Warwickshire and beyond.

Accounts for the year ended 31 December 2021 showed net assets and shareholder funds valued at £1.2 million (FY2020: £695,312) and £4.8 million falling due within one year to creditors.

A statement by the administrator read: “NRI Civils Ltd was placed into administration on 14 November 2023 with Gary Steven Pettit of PBC Business Recovery & Insolvency based in Northampton appointed as administrator.

“Given the urgent nature of the appointment and legal advice being obtained in respect of realisation of certain of the company’s assets, the administrator is not able to comment any further at this point.

“All future queries should be addressed to Claire Goodacre either by email [at] Clairegoodacre@pbcbusinessrecovery.co.uk, or post: PBC Business Recovery & Insolvency, 9/10 Scirocco Close, Moulton Park, Northampton, NN3 6AP.”

Bibby was approached for comment.
