Joanne Conway will take up the additional role of chief executive officer of the family-run business, along with her current executive Group chairperson role.

She replaces Adam Green who has stepped down as CEO due to health reasons.

Conway, daughter of late chairman and owner Michael Conway, was appointed Group chairperson in May last year.

She has worked in the business for more than 20 years in various pivotal roles, including as a member of the board since 2011.

In recent years, she was also responsible for the manufacturing arm of the business as managing director of the Aggregates and Asphalt division, making FM Conway the second largest asphalt producer in the South East.

An FM Conway spokesperson said: “Due to health reasons, Adam Green has stepped down from his role as CEO at FM Conway. We wish Adam well, and we’re grateful for his stewardship of the company in recent years.”

Adding: “Joanne Conway will take up the additional role of CEO along with her current executive Group chair role.”
