Mace has been appointed to an office refurbishment in London’s Square Mile.
The firm was hired by CBRE Investment Management (CBRE IM) as main contractor to the 145,000 sq ft 10 Gresham Street scheme.
The Foster + Partners designed building has been reimagined by architecture firm Gensler.
Works will include construction of a 5,146 sq ft rooftop terrace and a 2,700 sq ft multi-purpose indoor rooftop pavilion.
Embodied carbon emissions will be addressed via a circular materials approach and the removal of fossil fuels, Mace said.
The scheme will also have low-energy LED lighting and “high-performance” glazing.
Mace is targeting BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ and WELL Platinum ratings.

“Finding sustainable solutions to meet the needs of the modern office occupier is a key issue for our industry and, as such, redevelopments are a core part of our offering.”
