McLaren Construction has appointed a new Group commercial director.
Paul Spiller joins the company having previously been London commercial director at McAlpine.
Spiller will build on McLaren’s success in delivering public and private sector projects through repeat business and frameworks across Major Projects, London and South, Midlands and North and the UAE divisions.
He starts his new role effective immediately (1 November).
The Group also said it is predicting revenue in FY2023 to exceed £1 billion.
“Joining such a professional and resilient business, one of the largest private companies in the UK, brings huge opportunity,” said Spiller. “I am delighted to contribute to such a strong team and be part of McLaren’s journey in exceeding client expectations, expanding in new and existing sectors, and future-proofing the business in response to new legislation, up-skilling and embracing new technologies.”
Former McAlpine colleague and current Group managing director of McLaren Construction, Paul Heather, added: “By joining McLaren as part of the main board, Paul brings a wealth of experience and relationships from across the UK construction industry with both customers and the supply chain, providing excellent strategic insight into new markets and sectors.
“Paul is a great addition to the team and will contribute to the growth of McLaren over the coming years as we develop agile ways of working and will be key to unlocking opportunities for McLaren in our target sectors, while building our long-term resilience.”
