To support its growth plans in the water and energy sectors, United Living Infrastructure Services (ULIS) has appointed Campbell Crawford as its new commercial director and Simon Jones as operations director.

Crawford has more than 15 years’ experience in the utilities industry. He also held senior roles at Enterprise, Amey, and Network Plus, where he worked with many water, gas and power companies across various frameworks and large projects.

He said: “Our clients are currently facing multiple regulatory, environmental, and social challenges, ranging from decarbonisation and the development of the hydrogen economy to maximising precious water resources and reducing pollution in rivers and bathing areas.

“I look forward to working with the ULIS team and our clients to help contribute to the successful execution of complex programmes of work, ultimately benefiting all stakeholders and ensuring the best value for consumers.”

Jones also held leadership roles at Enterprise and Amey, as well as Galliford Try. He too has extensive experience across key utility sectors, with expertise in major projects, from conception to delivery, for public and private sector customers.

Jones has strong expertise in leading large teams on both water and energy frameworks and delivering capital schemes for Yorkshire Water as part of their AMP7 Civils framework.

“As we move closer to 2025, we are focused on supporting the energy transition and the water industry’s ambitions for AMP8 and beyond,” said John Farrell, managing director at ULIS. “The AMP8 delivery programme is set to be bigger than any previous AMP period and is anticipated to tackle unique challenges, through commitments to climate change, customer service, society, and the environment.”

He added: “We are delighted to have Campbell and Simon on board to help our customers deliver these new AMP8 requirements.”
