Machinery and tools from the factory of collapsed modular housebuilder ilke Homes are being sold at auction this month.
ilke Homes Limited filed an application notice to appoint administrators with the Companies Court on 30 June.
Its 250,000 sq ft light gauge steel frame factory in North Yorkshire closed immediately and 1,150 staff lost their jobs.
Financial advisory firm, AlixPartners, was appointed as administrators at the request of the company directors.
Now, Hilco Valuation Services is managing the sale of all machinery and equipment, via online auction, on Tuesday, 17 August, at 10am.
Among the items are £2 million’ worth of building materials and appliances.
It is understood ilke’s demise was the result of inflationary pressures and a lack of land supply linked to planning processes.
After weeks of trying, the financially struggling firm failed to find a buyer or a fresh injection of capital, tipping it into administration.
