Stud Brook spans 20 acres – that’s about the size of 15 football pitches, or 3,240 parking spaces, or 310 tennis courts.

Derbyshire plant and machinery hire firm, JC Balls & Sons, was appointed as the infrastructure and groundworks contractor. These works are now nearing completion.

In addition to plant hire, JC Balls & Sons also offers engineering, ready-mix concrete, lorry hire and haulage, land improvement, and recycling services.

According to its website, Clowes Developments is ready to announce the main contractor for the construction of Stud Brook, though hasn’t revealed those details yet.

Scope

The mixed-use scheme will include:

  • New office space
  • Industrial units (for sale or let)
  • Amenity space
  • New shops

The new offices and industrial units range in size up to 45,000 sq ft.

It is also very close to East Midlands Airport.

Agencies

  • NG Chartered Surveyors
  • FHP Property Consultants

Construction of the units is expected to begin in September.

“It’s great to see Stud Brook Business Park coming to life. Our infrastructure and groundworks contractors JC Balls & Sons are nearing completion which will enable the next phase of construction to start by the end of Summer,” said James Richards, development director at Clowes Developments.

Richard Sutton at NG Chartered Surveyors added: “Stud Brook is one of the East Midlands’ most exciting mixed-use developments, and we’re delighted once again to be working with our colleagues at Clowes Developments.”

Clowes Developments was approached for further comment.
