Project management experts Andrew Todman and Craig Ward have joined the firm from commercial real estate services business, Avison Young.

With more than 25 years in the construction industry and a focus on the London market in recent years, both men are experienced in the strategic management of complex, multiphase developments including new build and refurbishment schemes across a range of sectors.

Formerly Second London Wall project management, the pair have been involved in various prominent London landmarks such as Wembley Stadium, Chelsea Barracks, Kensington Palace, and 80 Charlotte Street.

High-profile mixed-use schemes in the capital such as 40 Leadenhall Street – one of the biggest projects ever to receive planning permission in the City of London, and the three-acre Fitzroy Place in Fitzrovia, also had input from Todman and Ward.

The new hires will drive growth in Gleeds’ major London projects division and develop the business by harnessing new opportunities.

Ward said: “Andrew and I are thrilled to be joining a business with Gleeds’ pedigree and are looking forward to continuing to offer a best-in-class service to developers, funders and site owners – building on the consultancy’s enviable relationships with clients.

“By welcoming us to the team, Gleeds is signifying its commitment to continuing to develop a substantial, vibrant, and successful project management service for the capital and beyond which will complement its already stellar offering.”

Paul Sweeney, partner at Gleeds, added: “Project management as a specialism is constantly evolving, so I am delighted to be able to introduce a new team who will bring a fresh approach to our offer based on experience, technical capability, and progressive thinking.

“Both Andrew and Craig have exceptional track records and their decision to put their faith in Gleeds, with its global footprint and 138-year history, for the next stage of their careers shows the esteem in which the business is held.”
