The United Living group subsidiary appointed him after he previously served as engineering lead with Bath-based civil engineering firm Fairfield Banks.

Cobble has project delivery experience with more than 25 years in capital projects in the oil and gas sector.

He previously worked as the technical authority for the engineering and construction phases of major pipeline projects in the UK and overseas.

Cobble is also an active member of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and the Pipeline Industry Guild.

ULIS recently appointed Campbell Crawford as its new commercial director and Simon Jones as operations director, last October.

Conor Bray, managing director at ULIS, said: “We are delighted to welcome Mike Cobble as Director of Major Projects, Energy Transition, to the Infrastructure Services business.

“His knowledge and expertise will be invaluable to further enhance our customer relationships and capitalise on the significant growth plans and opportunities United Living has in the energy transition and carbon capture markets.”
