Mace has announced a major shake-up of its executive leadership team, as it sets out plans for future growth.

In January 2025, Mace will split the existing, combined group chairman and chief executive role, with Mark Reynolds continuing as (executive) chairman and deputy chief executive Jason Millett stepping into the role of CEO.

Millett will take over from Reynolds as chief executive and lead delivery of Mace’s 2026 Business Strategy as well as its 2030 vision to focus on consultancy-led global expansion.

Millett said: “I am honoured to have been named the next chief executive of Mace – it’s an exciting opportunity to build on everything we have achieved as a company over the last three decades.”

Over the next six months, Reynolds and Millett will manage the transfer of leadership, establishing new governance structures internally.

Reynolds will continue in his role as co-chairman of the Construction Leadership Council (CLC).

As part of the leadership shake up, Davendra Dabasia will become CEO of Mace’s Engines and Consult businesses in July this year, and Andrew Jackson will take over from Gareth Lewis as CEO of Mace Construct.

Further, Mace will appoint four non-executive directors in January 2025, establishing a new Group Board.

These will be Dame Alison Nimmo, former CEO of The Crown Estate; Nina Bjornstad, who currently sits on the boards of Telenor, Scandinavian Airlines, and PwC; Eric Hageman, CFO of Swedish telecommunications company Telia; and John Coghlan, currently a director of Landmark and former board member of Severn Trent, Clarion Housing Group and ABP.

The current Executive Board at Mace will remain as the Group Executive Committee.

Mace Consult Engine is targeting more than £1.2 billion in revenue by 2030 under the group’s growth strategy.

Reynolds said: “After 12 years leading Mace, and a decade of working alongside Jason, I couldn’t be more pleased to see him step into the group chief executive role.

“He, Davendra and Andrew will shape the next decade of Mace’s journey, and I have absolute confidence that they will continue our phenomenal growth.

“I am also very proud that Alison, Eric, John and Nina have agreed to join the new Group Board as non-executive directors.

“Over the last twelve months on Mace’s Advisory Board they have proven an invaluable source of challenge and insight; and I am looking forward to working together more closely as we begin the next phase of our exciting journey.”
