Kris Hampson will replace former group finance director Andrew Duxbury who tendered his resignation in November last year to take up the role of CFO at Persimmon.

Hampson will be joining Galliford Try from his current position as group financial controller at the FTSE 100 company Rentokil Initial, where he has worked for 16 years.

He is set to start his new position no later than September, the group said.

Hampson said: “I am delighted to be joining Galliford Try as it continues its impressive performance and Sustainable Growth Strategy.

“The group has an incredible history, proven financial performance and the future outlook in its chosen sectors is strong.”

Bill Hocking, chief executive for Galliford Try, added: “It is testament to the strength of our business that we have been able to attract someone of Kris’s calibre.

“We are delighted that he has chosen to join our executive team, and his appointment will underpin our progress towards our strategic goals.”

The business is set to provide a strategic update at a Capital Markets Event on 23 May.
