Peter Gore steps into the leadership role having worked as group operations director at the developer since 2021.

Prior to joining Weston Group, Gore was at Taylor Wimpey London where he worked for three years as managing director.

He also previously worked in senior delivery and construction director roles at Barratt Homes and Mount Anvil.

As CEO of Weston Group, Gore will work alongside founder and chairman Bob Weston and the Board to ensure product delivery and quality, staff team building and development, health and safety standards, and customer satisfaction across the group.

He said: “I am delighted to be stepping into a new role as chief executive officer and driving the group’s diverse range of business activities.

“Despite an extremely challenging economic climate, with squeezed margins, rising build costs, and a constrained mortgage market, the business continues to make headway and we look forward to launching a series of significant new residential development schemes with others in the pipeline.”

Earlier this year, Weston announced it will develop an additional £315 million in five new residential schemes during 2024, providing almost 900 new homes across London and the South East of England.

Three further projects in Essex have also won planning this year, adding a further 700 homes to its pipeline.

As well as Weston Homes, the wider Weston Group operates British Offsite (MMC and offsite manufacturing), Weston Business Centres (serviced offices), Stansted Environmental Services (environmental and safety consultancy) and Weston Logistics (construction plant hire and warehousing).
