Sovereign Network Group (SNG) chose Vistry’s Countryside Partnerships business as the main contractor for its Merrick Place scheme in Southall.

Designed by Cartwright Pickard architects, the buildings will be between 15 and 23 storeys tall, on a former light industrial site, next to the station.

The wider development will include 2,100 sqm of office space and 318 sqm of flexible commercial space for local businesses.

Communal gardens and public realm will be created on the Merrick Road frontage and landscaping, play and amenity areas will be provided within the site, as well as 926 spaces for bicycle parking throughout the wider build.

SNG will retain the affordable 22-storey building, with 42 homes for London Affordable Rent and 132 for Shared Ownership.

It follows a major business restructure announced by Vistry last year, where the FTSE 250 company merged its Housebuilding and Partnerships operations.

David Gooch, SNG executive director of development for London and Herts, said: “The Merrick Place project in Southall is a flagship scheme within SNG’s London New Homes Programme.

“We are delighted to have contracted with Countryside Partnerships who are also our joint venture partner at Northwick Park Hospital in Brent.

“Together these two projects will deliver over 1,100 high quality new homes in Northwest London.”

John Fitzgerald, managing director, Vistry South London, added: “Merrick Place will play a key part in the wider regeneration of Ealing, and we are very pleased to have been appointed by our established partner SNG for its delivery.”
