About the Award

The people building the United Kingdom don’t get the recognition they deserve, specifically those who are driving the UK’s most innovative projects. This award honors the people and companies that have leveraged their resources and influence to make a positive impact beyond just driving profit. The ones that want to change the narrative of the entire construction industry.

Who is a Future Leader?

Innovative talent propels the construction industry forward, paving the way to a future filled with limitless potential and groundbreaking ideas. The future leaders of construction are already among us, and the companies leading the way are those committed to retaining this talent at all levels.

Eligibility:
  • A high-performing employee, age 40 years or younger, shaping the next decade of construction
  • A passionate worker who knows how to put their vision into action for the good of construction professionals on and offsite.
  • An advocate for the industry, a person who wants to create change.

Methodology

Construction Wave journalists, industry analysts and consultants will review all submitted entries, identifying key initiatives and activities that applicant has achieved across it’s company and projects.

Job roles that the review panel will be looking closely at:

  • Project Director
  • Project Manager
  • Design Manager
  • Senior / Managing / Quantity Surveyor
  • Senior / Civil Engineer
  • Senior / Site Manager
  • Site Operatives
  • Finance Director / Manager
  • Operational Director
  • CTO
  • Start-Up Founders

Winners

We no longer accept submissions after December 21st. 2024.

We will be holding an exclusive Future Leaders awards evening in late January 2025 in Central London. This will be a relaxed setting where we introduce “The Class of 2024”. No black tie events here!

Pricing

We are not selling you tables here. Our pricing model is simple. We charge a submission fee for each nomination.

What is the selection process?

During the judging process, a variety of factors are weighed to determine whether a nominee should be a Future Leader winner, including but not limited to:

  • Size & scope of work responsibilities
  • Accomplishments of professional career up to this point
  • Leadership roles
  • Activities outside of work – professional organizations, volunteering, etc.
  • The scope of influence within their area of expertise
  • Specific business results driven by ideas/execution of the nominee
  • All nomination information is kept private
