Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) contractor, John N Dunn has reported a profitable year, driven by significant growth in the renewable energy sector.

For the year ended 31 March 2025, the Tyne & Wear-headquartered company saw a 10.4 per cent rise in turnover to £34.9 million (FY2024: £31.6 million).
The company’s EBITDA increased to £709,000 (FY2024: £373,000).
Operating profit rose to £639,553, compared to £343,746 in FY2024, and pre-tax profit climbed to £383,441, up from £87,694.
A key driver of growth was the company’s continued expansion in the renewables sector, with involvement in solar panels, electric vehicle (EV) charging points and air source heat pumps.
It also made significant investments to upskill its workforce and position itself for long-term success.
The business delivered a number of “significant” renewable contracts in the year with “increasing numbers of further contracts scheduled going forward”.
