Winvic surpasses £1bn turnover mark as demand grows across all three of its core sectors

Winvic Construction has seen its turnover increase beyond £1 billion since 2023, thanks to sustained demand and major project milestones across its three core sectors: industrial, multi-room, and civils and infrastructure.

The Northampton-headquartered contractor reported revenue of £1.013 billion for the year ended 31 January 2025, a 5.6 per cent increase from £958.7 million the previous year – 80 per cent of which came from repeat clients.

The firm has forecasted a turnover to January 2026 of £1.2 billion – a return to 2023’s £1.217 billion.

Winvic improved most profits by nearly two thirds, including a 65.7 per cent increase in operating profit, 62.7 per cent increase in pre-tax profit, 59.7 per cent increase in annual profit, alongside a 61.9 per cent improvement in cash reserves.

Throughout the year, 34 projects were completed and 43 new schemes started, including the first in the life sciences sector.

The firm celebrated milestones, including the delivery of 100 million sq ft of industrial space, 10,000 residential beds, and constructing and maintaining 100km of highways.

In the industrial sector, Winvic launched 29 new projects, marking a total of 100 million sq ft of space delivered since its formation in 2001.

The multi-room sector saw over 12,500 beds delivered to date, and the firm achieved its first Gateway 2 approval amid ongoing regulatory challenges.

In civils and infrastructure, Winvic delivered five major projects and secured 66 scheme allocations under National Highways’ Scheme Delivery Framework.

Private sector wins included works at SEGRO Logistics Park Northampton and the West Midlands Interchange.

Looking ahead, Winvic is actively exploring frameworks in growth sectors such as environment, energy, rail, and water.

The company believes its proven capabilities and sector expertise will bring significant value to public authorities and clients operating in these emerging areas.

Chief executive, Simon Girardier said: “The company remains in a strong cash position with no debt and a robust pipeline of long-term work in progress.

Following a group reorganisation of Winvic Group Limited, involving members of the existing management team becoming shareholders, positions us to secure the long-term future of the group.

The outlook for the financial year ending 2026 and beyond is promising, with a current forward order book of £1.7 billion.”
