Infrastructure specialist M Group has completed its latest acquisition, boosting its revenue position.

The group recently purchased Telent, a provider of operational technology and digital solutions for national infrastructure across the UK and Ireland, for an undisclosed sum.
Having since been subject to the necessary regulatory approvals, that deal is now concluded.
M Group said Telent’s critical communications, network infrastructure, and end-to-end cyber security services will enhance its own offering to telecom, transport, water, and energy sectors.
This includes long-standing relationships with Transport for London (TfL), National Highways, Network Rail, Virgin Media O2, BT, EE, and Openreach.
Adjacent markets such as the public sector, defence, emergency services, and education are also more accessible to M Group.
M Group chief executive, Andrew Findlay, said: “Telent’s differentiated capabilities, market position and the talented people that make it a great business, makes us even better placed to deliver essential infrastructure services for life for our clients, communities and the planet.
“As we enter a period of integration, we will continue to focus on business as usual, putting safety and our clients first.”

This latest deal follows M Group’s acquisition of retrofit contractor Aran Group back in April, deepening its presence in the decarbonisation market.
Aran delivers managed energy efficiency programmes on behalf of local authority and social housing clients.
That acquisition, also for an undisclosed sum, is part of AgilityEco’s strategy to strengthen its turnkey retrofit offering within Aran’s current market.
The acquisition of Telent is expected to take M Group’s revenue to more than £3 billion and the total businesses acquired by M Group to 22 since 2016.
Telent chief executive, Jo Gretton, said: “We are looking forward to exploring the opportunities this acquisition brings, building on our excellent reputation and continuing to be a trusted partner for organisations at the forefront of the digital revolution.”
