VINCI Group has signed an agreement to acquire an energy solutions provider operating in one of its largest international markets.

Zimmer & Hälbig, headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany, will be added to VINCI Energies Building Solutions’ network of 150 business units.
Founded in 1974, Zimmer & Hälbig provide design, engineering, installation, and maintenance services for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC-R) solutions, to customers in the life science, healthcare, industrial, and data centre sectors.
Last year, Zimmer & Hälbig generated revenue of €96 million via its seven locations and 310-strong workforce.
Also last year, VINCI Group generated revenue of close to €5.6 billion in Germany – its second-largest international market – including €4.1 billion in energy solutions (VINCI Energies €3.4 billion and Cobra IS €0.7 billion) and €1.4 billion for VINCI Construction.
VINCI Energies also just signed a separate agreement to acquire electrical infrastructure specialist EnergoBit Group, based in Romania, for an undisclosed sum. EnergoBit generated revenues of €100 million in 2024 and currently employs more than 820 people operating from eight locations.
Earlier this year VINCI completed the acquisition of UK civil engineering contractor FM Conway, another major addition to its M&A portfolio.
The firm and its businesses were assimilated into the VINCI Construction network, strengthening the French construction giant’s position in the UK market.
Then, in March, VINCI announced the rebranding of its UK testing and consultancy division VINCI Technology Centre, to Initivo Consultancy, to better reflect the range of clients across different sectors the division serves.
The completion of the deal with Zimmer & Hälbig is subject to approval by the relevant authorities.
