Private investment firm, United Capital Group has completed the divestment of its UK-based property services business, specialising in renewables and facilities management, to the world’s largest HVAC firm.

The sale of Saltire Facilities Management to Daikin Industries, for an undisclosed sum, follows five years of growth and strategic development under United Capital Group’s ownership.
In the past 12 months, the North Lanarkshire-headquartered Saltire business secured more than £220 million in public sector contracts, making it one of the UK’s largest property services providers.
Specialising in renewables, gas services, and electrical works, the £30.3 million turnover company operates across Scotland and the Midlands and employs around 300 people, with a network of subcontractors.
Its sale will allow it to expand its services and explore further growth opportunities.
Graeme Carling, co-founder of United Capital, expressed pride in the business’s achievements and its future prospects under the new ownership.
He said: “Bringing investment from Daikin Industries into the Scottish economy secures Saltire’s future and creates exciting opportunities for the region.
“This is the United Capital model in action, identifying great businesses and building them into globally attractive enterprises.”
This divestment represents another exit for United Capital Group, which continues to invest in high-potential businesses across various sectors.
While the move strengthens Osaka-based Daikin’s position in the UK market which it operates through Daikin Europe NV in the UK.
The acquisition of Saltire, is expected to create new opportunities for both Saltire and the local economy in Scotland, will be integrated into Daikin UK’s operations, enhancing its portfolio of energy-efficient systems and services.
