McLaren Construction Group has welcomed back a former director previously responsible for managing £200 million in revenues for the contractor.

Adrian Barnes has this week returned to McLaren after several years away from the business, rejoining as regional strategic director for the Midlands and North division.
Barnes returns having spent nearly six years in the role of regional director at Stepnell, managing its Rugby business operating in areas along the M1 corridor.
Before that, he spent close to five years as a director at McLaren, where he oversaw a £200 million turnover while leading the London pre-construction team.
In 2014, Barnes left Morgan Sindall after 13 years of employment, latterly as area director.
He has more than 30 years’ experience in the construction industry to date.
In his new role at McLaren, Barnes will be working with regional director Luke Arnold, and managing director, Gary Cramp on the senior leadership team, supporting strategic growth in the region.
“Over the next few weeks, we look forward to welcoming Adrian back to the business as he gets to know his colleagues, engages with key customers, and add value across the business,” said Cramp.
“His return further strengthens our leadership team and reinforces our commitment to growth in the region.
“Adrian’s appointment is a valuable addition and will help us to build on the successes we’ve achieved so far.”
