The firm was appointed to deliver Versa, the second project by real estate investor Kadans Science Partner, within the Tileyard Quarter.

Due to complete in Q2 next year, the 51,500 sq ft four-storey building could support various companies and individuals working in the life science sector.

Morgan Sindall recently completed Mayde, for Kadans, a 114,000 sq ft life science hub, also within the Tileyard Quarter, where the latter is targeting more than 300,000 sq ft of high specification laboratory, office and manufacturing space.

“Once complete, Versa, 4 Brandon Road, will boost the amount of specialist labs and R&D space in the burgeoning Tileyard Quarter, complementing the facilities that have already been delivered in the now operational Mayde, 5-10 Brandon Road,” said Richard Dobson, Morgan Sindall Construction area director for London.

“We look forward to continuing our close collaboration with Kadans during the development and can’t wait to see what innovations and ideas will be born in this facility in the future.”

It follows Morgan Sindall recently starting construction of a £5.5 million extension at Thorp Academy in Ryton, Gateshead, on behalf of the Northern Education Trust, through the SCAPE Construction Framework.
