Celsa Steel UK and Celsa Steel Nordic have been acquired by Czech investment group Sev.en Global Investments.

Cardiff-headquartered Celsa Steel UK will now be known as 7 Steel UK, while Norway’s Celsa Nordic will be rebranded as 7 Steel Nordic.
7 Steel UK’s (formerly Celsa Steel UK) national footprint includes four scrap yards and 17 fabricator depots across the country.
The business has contributed to some of the UK’s most iconic construction projects, including Wembley Stadium, London’s Olympic Park, and The Shard.
Both entities will now operate under the 7 Steel brand, with an annual steel production of 2 million tonnes of products, predominantly for the construction industry such as bars, sections, mesh, and wires.
The total number of employees within the Sev.en Global Investments group will double to more than 5,700, with the rebranding happening until mid -July.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for our business,” said Carles Rovira, CEO of 7 Steel UK.
“At 7 Steel UK, we remain deeply committed to serving the UK construction sector with sustainable, high-quality steel.
“Backed by Sev.en Global Investments, we are poised to accelerate innovation and strengthen our leadership in the circular economy.”
