Altrincham-headquartered McGoff Construction has appointed Bob Priestley as project director, starting him on its Warwick Road South scheme in Old Trafford, where the company is main contractor.

Clockwise L-R: Jon Bishop, Mike Foy, Rob Duxbury, Bob Priestley.

With more than 40 years’ experience in the construction industry, most recently as head of construction at director level, Priestley brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience to the role.

A joint venture between MC Construction and McGoff Group, Warwick Road South features 80 affordable homes alongside Old Trafford Metrolink station that will be transferred to Southway Housing Trust once complete.

Priestley will ensure the build progresses to schedule, project margins are achieved, and health and safety standards are maintained.

He said: “Warwick Road South is a fantastic project that will enhance the immediate local area and offer many social and environmental benefits.

“As the main contractor it is our role to ensure the construction process runs smoothly and deliver the scheme on time and without complications.”

McGoff Construction is part of the McGoff Group, a £150 million collection of construction businesses in Altrincham, focused on new build developments in the healthcare, residential and commercial sectors.

In March this year the business appointed Rob Duxbury and Jon Bishop as operations directors.

Bishop has worked for McGoff Construction for more than 10 years, receiving the promotion after having previously held project and contract manager roles.

Duxbury is new to McGoff but has worked in construction for more than 24 years at development and main contracting businesses.

Before that, in January, new director, Mike Foy joined steel frame specialist and McGoff subsidiary, Panacea Building Systems, to oversee all live and pipeline projects.
