Infrastructure specialist M Group has announced its acquisition of retrofit contractor Aran Group, deepening its presence in the decarbonisation market.
Aran delivers managed energy efficiency programmes on behalf of local authority and social housing clients.
The acquisition, for an undisclosed sum, is part of AgilityEco’s strategy to strengthen its turnkey retrofit offering within Aran’s current market.
“I am delighted to welcome Aran to AgilityEco,” said Sharon Johnson, MD. “With Aran’s complementary skills, particularly in the social housing space, and high-quality retrofit installation expertise, we will be able to expand our platform to deliver for our clients.”
The pair intend to scale up operations to 28,000 homes next year, alongside AgilityEco investing in its technology-enabled platform.
The deal brings the total businesses acquired by M Group to 21 since 2016.

“Our ambitious growth strategy reflects a combination of organic and inorganic growth to enhance our capabilities to deliver even greater value to our clients.”
