50 Fenchurch Street is set to become one of London’s first fully electric towers and one of the lowest carbon tall buildings in the capital, according to Permasteelisa and partners.

Eric Parry Architects designed the building, which is being delivered by AXA Investment Managers and YardNine.

Keltbray finished enabling works in May last year and Arup has provided multidisciplinary engineering services on site.

Permasteelisa’s Gartner brand will now work in partnership with Multiplex, to ensure the façade aligns with high design and sustainability standards.

“This contract provides further evidence of our ongoing commitment to executing key projects in London,” said Permasteelisa CEO, Liam Cummins.

“We look forward to once again partnering with Multiplex to safely and successfully deliver this exciting scheme.

“Our innovative Closed Cavity Façade will help this building meet its goal of being Net Zero once operational and we are very proud to play a part in the construction of what is a ground-breaking project.”

Construction of 50 Fenchurch Street is expected to be completed in 2028.
