Mace has been appointed by real estate investor British Land to redevelop the landmark Euston Tower building in London’s West End, to the reported tune of £600 million.

Under revised plans, approved last week, the firms will deliver an office tower spanning 560,000 sq ft and standing 31 storeys tall – down from 36 storeys – at Regent’s Place.
Built in the 1960s, the redevelopment will retain around a third of the building’s original structure including the foundations and core, while targeting a BREEAM rating of “Outstanding”.
The plans, which emerged in 2023, also detail 4,000 sq ft of restaurants and cafés, with terraces overlooking a new public realm, as well as 8,000 sq ft of “enterprise space” for start-ups.
As well as Mace, British Land is teaming up with Danish architecture practice 3XN GXN, London-based architects Adamson Associates and landscape designer DSDHA, with the structure and MEP works delivered by Arup.
Regent’s Place is in the Knowledge Quarter, close to renowned academic and research institutions such as UCL and The Francis Crick Institute.
Completion is expected at the end of 2030.
“This world-class science and technology building with new offices and lab-enabled workspaces will exemplify our expertise in delivering retrofit developments of this scale,” said Ged Simmonds, managing director private sector, Mace Construct.
“By incorporating sustainable practices and cutting-edge engineering, we are not only showcasing the potential for forward thinking office redevelopments, but also highlighting how reuse strategies can drive circularity in construction.”
