Adam Crompton joined the company in 1996 as a construction project management graduate before completing a master’s degree in quantity surveying.

He was recently promoted to procurement leader for Laing O’Rourke’s delivery workstream, following various senior roles within the company’s commercial function through the years.

As the procurement leader for the Europe Hub, Crompton will build on existing relationships with supply chain partners.

Alongside a record order book of £10.8 billion, Laing O’Rourke is also focused on innovation and net zero.

Crompton said: “It’s an honour to become the procurement leader for Laing O’Rourke’s Europe Hub, and one that I take great pride in.

“We recently held two supply chain networking events where we discussed the pipeline of work and shared examples of collaboration.

“It was great to feel the energy in the room and I look forward to continuing that dialogue.”

Laing O’Rourke group director, legal, procurement (EU) and sustainability, Madeleina Loughrey-Grant, said: “I know Adam is looking forward to building on our relationships with our supply chain partners to deliver some fantastic projects across the United Kingdom and Middle East.”
