Simon Gorski formally announced the formation of his new firm, Hillman Scott Consulting, on social media this week, receiving dozens of congratulatory messages from his colleagues and peers.

“I am delighted to announce that I have started my new consultancy firm, Hillman Scott Consulting, following my fantastic 20 years at Lendlease Construction,” Gorski wrote.

“The focus is on working with new and mature organisations to help shape their business strategies, optimise their operating models and develop their ‘new business’ plans to ensure they really thrive in their target markets.”

Gorski began his career in quantity surveying at John Laing before serving in the British Army for well over 10 years where he reached the rank of officer.

He later worked at Lendlease for close to 20 years, eventually ascending to the role of construction managing director for Europe.

Gorski left Lendlease in August 2024.

He added: “I am already working with two new companies in a strategic advisory role and intend to support both UK and international organisations operating at all levels in and around the built environment.”

Mark Lacey, director at Turner & Townsend alinea, wrote, “Very best of luck, Simon. Trust all well with you,” echoing the sentiment of others.
